Twist-Erase III Automatic Pencil, 0.70 mm, Black Barrel CustomerReview

I am a senior in high school (2007) and use pencils extensively. This is the only pencil i even consider using. I purchased a paczk back in 7th grade and knew I had found the best pencil. Since then, I have never taken a final, midterm, test, or quiz without one. It has been 6 years, and I have tested many other mechanical pencils but have yet to find one that could replace this. why is this pencil so amazing? I will tell you.

strengths
1. the feel: as soon as you pick it up, you will notice it is slightly heavier than many of the cheap mechanical pencils. this is due to the solid construction which gives it the higher quality feel. it also fits in your hand comfortably without being to larde and bulky.
2. the tip: the tip is made of metal which does not bend and break your led as other pencils can do. also it adds to the high quality feel
3. the lead: this pencil comes in .5, .7, and .9 sizes. this gives you plenty of options to choose from. i prefer the .7 because it is thich enough not to break (like the .5) and thin enough to always feel sharp.
4. the grip: the grip is thick enough to give a very comfortable cushion. it is the best grip i have ever used.
5. the material: it is not made out of those cheap, clear plastics, but instead a thicker plastic which does not crack and feels more durable.
6. the design: the clicker is not just the eraser at the end, but instead a larger section which prevents unwanted clicks while erasing
7. the thing that you can hook the pen to something with: it is made of metal and can be detatched. this precents it from breaking off or in half which is so common with other pencils. the ability to detatch is nice because you can fix it if it gets an inwanted bend in it.
8. the eraser: this is one of the best features because not only does it extend very far, but it is a thick eraser. this will remove the need to replace all the time. it is much better than the skinny erasers and the short erasers.
9. led compartment: it is large enough to hold plenty of led. it is not like those really skinny ones that get led jammed in them.
10. insides of the pencil: if you unscrew the metal tip of the pencil, you will see that it is a metal three prong despenser. this is more durable than most other cheap pencils and prevents the led from loading sideways and jamming.
11. the click length: this pencil has the perfect click length, it is long enough where you dont have to do tons of clicks, and short enough so it doesnt immediately break.
12. the very tip of the tip: there is a straight tube at the end if the tip which is very beneficial as it keeps the led very straight which prevents breaking, and does not pose as an obstacle to the eye.

weaknesses
1. the inside of the tip: there is a little rubber peice that is at the very tip of the inside of the tip. this prevents the led from sliding out. occasioinally you can loose this while you have the tip removed. this is a small problem because the rubber piece seems to be wedged rather tightly in there and does not easily fall out.
2. the jamming: never stick the tip of this pencil into an eraser if there is no led sticking out. what tends to happen is a small sliver of eraser gets stuck in the tube tip of the pencil. it is nearly impossible to get out because it can popress against the walls of the tube. I have fixed it by using a sewing needle, but it took alot of time and patience. this is not a big problem because who sticks their empty pencil into erasers?
3. because the metal piece that attatches the pencil to other things is detatchable, it is possible to loose it. this is not a big weakness because it is better to detatch than to break.
